For the second time in as many games and the fifth time in the past three weeks, the University of Richmond baseball team played extra innings and for the second straight game, the Spiders fell in a hard-fought contest, dropping a tough 7-6 decision in 10 innings to George Washington in the first game of a critical Atlantic 10 series for both teams.
For the fourth time in three weeks, the University of Richmond baseball team gave its fans free baseball. This time, the Spiders fell to Coppin State, 6-5, in 10 innings in their regular season home finale.

The Spiders have now won four of their past five Atlantic 10 series, despite dropping an 8-3 decision to UMass on Sunday in the series finale after a late rally by the Minutemen.
