The University of Richmond women's golf team capped off another historic season on Wednesday when it completed the third round of the 2017 NCAA Golf Regionals at The Rawls Course, hosted by Texas Tech. The Spiders competed in the NCAA event for the second-straight year after claiming back-to-back Patriot League Titles.

Izzy tied for third overall on the individual scoreboard and for her efforts she has been chosen as the Wells Fargo Athlete of the Week.

The University of Richmond women's golf team began its first-ever Patriot League title defense on Saturday morning in stunning fashion, building a 15-stroke lead after the first round, but an incredible second round by Boston U. erased that lead and left the Spiders with a two-stroke deficit heading into day two with just 18 holes to play.

Donnici Sets the Tone for the Spiders at Hoya Invitational

The University of Richmond women's golf team was led this week by Maria Donnici who paced the group with scores of 79, 75, 80 to card an 18-over 234 en route to finishing tied for 33rd overall at the Hoya Invitational. The team finished 12th overall.
