Beacher Porter joined the strength and conditioning staff in May 2009 as a student intern. He was promoted to full time status in 2011. He currently directs the enhancement of sports performance for women's basketball, women's lacrosse, and men's golf. He also assists with football. He has worked with women's golf and men's soccer and has been part of two WNIT appearance and two CAA Football championships.
"Beacher's knowledge of strength training is vast, but what stands out most about Beacher is his passion for this team," said women's lacrosse head coach Allison Evans. "He is unwavering in his dedication to developing these women into the best athletes they can be. He is just as much a part of our staff as each coach we have on the lacrosse field. This program is fortunate to have someone of his caliber working with our team. We are thankful for all Beacher gives to our athletes and know that our successes on the field are due in part to their training in the weight room."
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Cum Laude from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010. Prior to this he attended Virginia Tech where he competed in collegiate sports. He is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
He is married to Stephanie and welcomed his daughter, Reese Acelyn, into the family in April 2013. They reside in Midlothian, Virginia.
