Spiders Begin Outdoor Track Season at Tribe Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The University of Richmond women’s track and field team officially kicks off the outdoor track season this weekend when it travels to William & Mary for the Tribe Invitational. It will be the lone tune-up before the Spiders host the annual Fred Hardy Invitational at Robins Stadium next weekend.

Following a wildly successful indoor season the Spiders will send 10 competitors to the meet, including Maria Acosta (800m, 4x400m), Gabby Bowen (200m, 4x400m), Claire Brown (800m, 4x400m), Stephanie Hughes (800m, 4x400m), Eryn Mills (Mile, 3k), Liz Montague (Triple Jump), Emma Nowak (3k, Steeple), Chloe Smith (400m, 200m), Morgan Towe (400m, 200m), Madeline Ustanik (Mile, 800m).

Many of the decorated distance runners, including Amanda Corbosiero, Haley Preschutti, Marisa Ruskan, Shelby Cain and A-10 Champion sprinter Mary Allen will be back in action next weekend.
