Elite Competition Awaits Spider Track this Weekend

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women’s track & field team will spread itself out this weekend with a large group of student-athletes traveling to New Jersey for the Larry Ellis Invite, hosted by Princeton, while a select few will stay close to home and travel to the Virginia Challenge, hosted by UVA. Both meets will span Friday and Saturday.

Maria Acosta (800m Friday, 400m Saturday)
Mary Allen (4x100m, 400m, 200m)
Jordan Angers (5k)
Gabby Bowen (4x100m)
Claire Brown (1500m Friday, 800m Saturday)
Colleen Carney (5k)
Stephanie Hughes (800m Friday)
Peyton McGovern (1500m Saturday)
Haley Preschutti (1500m Friday)
Kylie Regan (5k)
Marshea Robinson (4x100m)
Courtney Thompson (5k)
Morgan Towe (4x100m, 100m, 200m)
Madeline Ustanik (3k Saturday)

A trio of Spider distance runners have earned their way into Elite Sections at the Virginia Challenge. All three will compete in their events on Saturday against some of the best competition in the country.
