Atlantic 10 Tournament: 7th Seed, 1-1 (Quarterfinals)

• Richmond advanced to the Atlantic 10 Tournament quarterfinal round after defeating George Washington, 4-1, in the first round of play at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.

• The Spiders fell to No. 1 VCU in the A-10 Quarterfinals, taking the Rams to the wire and narrowly falling, 4-3.

• Freshmen Kiana Marshall, Lea Owens and Dessislava Zlateva all earned Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors after impressive rookie campaigns.

• Marshall dominated play at the end of the season, playing at Nos. 3 and 4 singles and moving up to the No. 1 doubles spot. The Barbados native went 22-12 in singles play and 17-8 in doubles after going undefeated in singles at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championships. She ended the season with nine-straight singles wins, including victories over opponents from VCU and Davidson.

• Owens played the majority of the season at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, while also playing doubles the entire year. She finished the year with a 1-1 mark in singles and 2-0 in doubles at the A-10 Championships.

• Zlateva took on a great deal of responsibility in her first season, jumping in to the No. 1 singles spot early in the year. The Bulgaria product went 12-14 in singles play, facing each team's toughest opponent. She nearly took down VCU's top player and eventual A-10 Player of the Year at the A-10 Championships, and went 1-1 in doubles play, helping the Spiders take the doubles point against the Rams.

• Owens and Marshall both earned A-10 Rookie of the Week honors once during the season.

• The Spiders graduated two seniors, Brittany Boys and Kelsey Williams, after the completion of the 2017 spring season.
