OSLO, Norway - The Richmond women's basketball controlled the game from the first tip en route to its 70-42 rout over the Ullren 56ers in Oslo, Norway. Brittani Shells led the Spiders with 16 points.

Much like the game before, every Spider scored in the winning effort. Five freshmen started the game, with Kris Puthoff-King leading the charge with 14 points. Richmond started the game leading 7-1, before Ullren came back to knot the score 7-all with five minutes remaining in the first quarter.

The Spiders would settle down, and counter with a 9-0 run to take a 16-7 lead, and then close the first frame with a 13-1 strike, taking a 20-8 lead to end the first quarter.

The scoring flurry was all the boost the Spiders needed as they ended the half, outscoring the 56ers, 20-7 to take a commanding 40-15 lead at the break.

Richmond continued its scoring onslaught well into the second half, ending the third quarter 54-33. The Spiders saw quality minutes from freshman Lauren Shute, who scored seven points.

Up Next: The Spiders will attend the Norway vs. Solvenia Norweigen Championship final game later today. Then, Richmond will visit Lillehammer tomorrow to sightsee the famous winter ski jump. The Spiders return to action Wednesday against Ullriken Elite at 12:15 p.m. ET.
