Former Richmond captain Peter Thomas is in his fourth season as director of basketball operations at his alma mater. Thomas is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the basketball office, film breakdown, team travel and organizing the recruiting database. The 2007 University of Richmond graduate returns to the West End after one year on the staff at Eastern Kentucky. Thomas started as the operations assistant and was promoted to director of basketball operations. He handled the recruiting database, coordinated recruiting and team travel, was the academic coordinator and ran the summer basketball camps. "I am so happy to welcome Peter back to the Richmond Basketball family," Richmond head coach Mooney said. "Peter demonstrated his work ethic and commitment to Richmond as a player and captain, and now will assist us as we continue to make strides as a program." The Little Rock, Arkansas native came to Richmond as a walk-on in 2003, but played in 106 games during his four-year career, earning a scholarship in his junior year and starting his final 60 games. He shot 48 percent from the field for his career with 424 career points.
