New will be joining the men's tennis team in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach.

He is a recent graduate of the United States Naval Academy, where he studied political science.  He played tennis all four years for the Midshipmen, ending his senior year 16-8 in singles and 9-7 in doubles. 

New has been involved with the Tennis for Life Program and served as an instructor at Courtside West, where he gave private tennis lessons and worked at summer camps.
