Our next spotlight falls on Olivia Aha, a Norfolk, Mass. native and powerful midfield threat for the Spiders. Aha is a three-time member of the Region I ODP Regional Pool team, as well as a member of the 2010 SYL ODP National Camp Select Team, ODP National Developmental Camp 2011, and Interregional National Development Camp 2010. Her NEFC club team was Massachusetts State Champions in 2012.

For her Montrose School high school team, Aha earned four IGC All-League Player honors, four Team MVP selections, two IGC MVP selections, was the IGC leading scorer four years running, and is a member of the two time IGC league champions.

“Olivia burst on the scene at our 2012 prospect camp and earned our best midfielder recognition. She returned to our 2013 camp and absolutely tore it up. Olivia has quick feet, excellent close control, great acceleration and a complete set of attacking skills.” Commented Head Coach Peter Albright.

Beyond her extensive success on the pitch, Aha is a member of the National Honors Society, a recipient of the Award for Academic Excellence, and the Vice President of the Student Body at Montrose School.

Albright is extremely pleased to have acquired such a high caliber student-athlete, and is excited about her potential growth throughout her college career.

“I really believe that Olivia has the potential to become a very special college player; the type that can tear open a game and change the outcome. We are really excited to see her develop.”

Olivia is one of nine freshmen entering their rookie season in the fall of 2014. Check back for spotlights on our next Spider Soccer newcomers coming later this week.
