Tolson returned for a fifth and final season in 2016 after being granted an extra year of eligibility following an injury that knocked her out after just eight games last season. She averaged 13.4 points per game before she went out. She struggled to find her way back in the early going this season but since returning to the starting lineup six games ago she has averaged 13.8 points including a double-double (10 pts, 11 reb) opposite Morgan State and back-to-back 17-point outings to begin A-10 play.
She dropped in nine points on Sunday afternoon but grabbed a career-best 14 rebounds in a win over 2016 NCAA Tournament team St. Bonaventure. Tolson has been a revelation of late, leading the Spiders to win in four of their last five games.
Richmond returns to the floor on Wednesday afternoon to take on Fordham on the road at 12 p.m. The road trip will continue on Saturday with a trip to Rhode Island before returning home for a tilt with La Salle next Wednesday.
