Athletic Public Relations
The University of Richmond Athletic Public Relations Office is located in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in Robins Center. The APR offices are located on the first floor.
Press/Photo Credentials
The APR office at the University of Richmond is ready to assist the working media in any way possible. We will gladly fulfill all reasonable requests. When requesting credentials for the the 2012-13 season, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Media regularly assigned to cover the Spiders and the visiting school will receive top priority. Credentials can be picked up at the APR office or at media will-call at Robins Center or Robins Stadium.
NCAA policy establishes that only photographers on assignment will be afforded credentials. Designated areas for photographers have been marked on each baseline, all photographers must remain within the designated areas.
E-mail Service
Every press release that is released by Richmond Athletics is available via e-mail. This includes release copy and pdf-formatted game notes. To be added to the distribution list, please request through that sport's APR contact (listed above).
In-Season Player Interviews
All player interviews should be scheduled through the APR Office. In making interview requests, we ask for at least 24 hours notice. Advance notice on both items will help ensure that your request will be handled efficiently. Players may not be interviewed on game day once they enter the locker room or athletic training room. Interviews should be requested through that sport's APR contact (listed above).
Post-Event Interview Policy
Head coaches and requested players will be available for post-game interviews after a 10 minute "cooling off" period as prescribed by the NCAA. See visiting Sports Information Director regarding interviews with members of their coaching staff or players.
In-Season Coaches Interview Policy
In-person interviews with the head coach or staff can be arranged through the APR Office. The head coach and his staff may be reached for telephone interviews by reaching that sport's APR contact (listed above).
