UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- The Spiders will face North Carolina in the NCAA Women's Tennis Championships Fri., May 11 at 1 p.m.
The Spiders were one of 31 automatic qualifiers, having won their fourth A-10 title in a row last month.
Richmond will travel to the national No. 7 seed Tarheels, as they are the host for the NCAA Regional. The match will follow first-round action between Arizona and Minnesota. The two first-round winners will meet Saturday.
Richmond won its fourth-straight title
and conference-record ninth crown in the last 10 years. The Spiders will be
making their eleventh NCAA appearance, and eighth in the last nine years.
Richmond brings a 14-4 record to the tournament.
North Carolina is making its 14th consecutive appearance and boast a 22-6 overall mark.
Tickets for the event are $5 for all spectators. Gates will open one-hour prior to play on both Friday and Saturday.
