UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Rising sophomore Matthew Groff will represent Richmond Track & Field in the 1,500 Meters at this weekend's USA Junior Outdoor Championships in Bloomington, Ind. The weekend-long event, which features Groff's first-round race on Friday's opening day of action, will be held on the campus of the University of Indiana at the Hoosiers' Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex.

Groff (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) clocked a personal-best time of 3:52.29 in the 1,500 Meters at May's Atlantic 10 Championship to improve on his previously set Junior Nationals qualifying mark. He is seeded 14th in Friday's race, which is scheduled to get underway at 6 p.m. The top 12 finishers will then advance to Sunday's finals at 3:45 p.m.
