UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Becca Wann was named to the prestigious MAC Hermann 2012 Trophy Watch list as announced Monday.
The Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy is the highest individual award in intercollegiate soccer presented annually in January during a banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
Wann was one of 38 female players to make the list. Four players from A-10 squads were named to the list, including Wann.
Each list will be narrowed down by
NSCAA members from Division I programs to 15 semifinalists by November 29.
Member coaches and fans will then vote for their top three choices and the
finalists will be announced December 6. The winners will be announced at the
awards' banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club on Friday, Jan. 4.
Fifty-seven NCAA Division I schools throughout the United States are
represented on this year's Watch Lists.
Wann is currently in Japan with the Women's National U-20 team competing at the World Cup. The All-American junior forward is expected back with the Spiders by mid-September.
