Spiders Roll Past Georgetown

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Juniors Christina Amorose and Chelsea Davies scored two goals apiece as Richmond defeated Georgetown 8-1 Sunday afternoon at Crenshaw Field.

Davies also added two assists to give her six points on the afternoon. The Spiders out-shot Georgetown 25-1 as they improved to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 at home.

Sophomore Rebecca Barry scored one of the more impressive goals you will see in field hockey and had two assists to give her a team-high 10 points on the season.

Senior Jackie Gyger scored for the second-straight game and freshmen Taylor Deitrick and Kerri McDonald both netted the second goals of their careers.

Sophomore Samantha Ostoich and freshman Amy Cooke had assists.

The Spiders hit the road for the next three games, beginning next Sunday at national ranked Princeton.
