Late Goal Lifts No. 4 Princeton Over Spiders

PRINCETON, N.J. - No. 4 ranked Princeton scored with just 2:43 remaining to escape with a 2-1 victory over Richmond on Sunday.

Princeton broke a scoreless tie with 2:42 remaining in the first half, but Richmond Junior Chelsea Davies scored her third goal of the season to tie the game in the 60th minute.

Allison Evans scored the game winner for the Tigers with just 2:43 remaining on an assist from Katie Reinprecht.

Richmond was playing without starting goalkeeper Anna Zarkoski, who is playing the Team USA in the Junior Pan-Am Games. Back-up goalkeeper Kelly Wentling made four saves in net for Richmond.

The Spiders return to action Friday at Duke.
