Men's Tennis Competes in Day 2 at UVA Tourney

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Spider men's tennis team continued singles play and wrapped up doubles play on Saturday in Charlottesville, Va.

Jesse Feder fought his way into the fifth place match  after defeating Coastal Carolina's John Karle 6-2, 6-0.  He challenges Morgan State 's Duk Young Park tomorrow in the Blue singles bracket.

In the White singles bracket Dylan Trent took Eastern Tennesee State's Roger Ordeig to three sets in the semifinals but fell 1-6, 6-3, 6-1.  Trent plays for the third place spot on Sunday against Virginia's Justin Shane.

Aaron Wicker continues play on Sunday in the Orange fifth place bracket when he duals William and Mary's Will Juggins.

Justin Baker will battle for 13th place after losing to Morgan State's Eric Ward 7-5, 6-3 in the Black singles consolation quarterfinal.

In double's action Aaron Wicker and Jesse Feder earned third place in the Blue doubles draw after defeating Eastern Tennessee State's Ordeig/Prabon 8-5.

Dylan Trent and Justin Baker lost in the semifinal consolation round to George Washington's Thomsen and Lapentti 8-5 but earned third place in the Gold's consolation bracket.  The duo was 1-2 on the weekend.

The tournament concludes tomorrow with singles action in Charlottesville, Virginia.
