Martin Leads Spiders At Fighting Camel Classic

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The University of Richmond Spiders women's golf team sits in 10th place after two rounds of play at the Fighting Camel Classic with a score of 649 (+73).  The No. 39-ranked Campbell Camels lead the 12-team tournament with a total of 592 (+16).

After earning medalist honors and leading the Spiders to the win at the Wendy's Invitational last week, senior Tracy Martin continued her strong play on Monday. Martin led Richmond in the first two rounds and sits in a tie for 17th with a score of 154 (+10).

Classmate Courtney Rousse is tied for 38th after carding a 36-hole score of 161 (+17), while junior Lauren Conder is just one stroke behind, tied for 43rd with a total of 162 (+18).

Senior Caroline Lovette is tied for 57th with a score of 173 (+29), while junior Viviana Perez is in 60th with a total of 177 (+33).

The Richmond Spiders will be back on the course tomorrow morning for the third and final round of the Fighting Camel Classic.  Results will be posted as soon as they become available.
