Spiders Place 10th At Fighting Camel Classic

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The University of Richmond Spiders women's golf team concluded play at the Fighting Camel Classic on Tuesday, finishing the tournament in 10th place with a score of 973 (+109).  Host and No. 39-ranked Campbell won the 12-team event with a total of 898 (+34).

Senior Tracy Martin continued her fantastic play this fall, earning her third top-20 finish this season and the eighth of her career.  Martin tied for 20th place overall at the Fighting Camel Classic, carding a three round total of 233 (+17).

Classmate Courtney Rousse finished the 54-hole tournament in a tie for 34th, shooting a 242 (+26), while junior Lauren Conder came in 49th place with a total of 246 (+30).

Senior Caroline Lovette tied for 53rd place with a score of 253 (+37) and junior Viviana Perez rounded out the Spiders' effort, finishing 58th with a total of 262 (+48).

The Richmond Spiders women's golf team will wrap up the fall season at the Palmetto Intercollegiate on October 28-29 at Oak & Cougar Point Golf Courses on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
