WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Senior Lauren Hines, juniors Mali Kobelja and Jessie Krebs, and freshman Kelley Yang each won two events as the Richmond swimming & diving team defeated rival William & Mary 141-116 on Friday night.

The Spiders won the first eight events and 11 of the first 12 on the way to a third-straight win over the Tribe.

Krebs won the 1000 freestyle in 10:12.98 and came back to win the 500 freestyle in 4:59.41. Kobelja won the 100 breaststroke 1:07.01 and the 100 freestyle in 51.97, while Yang won the 200 butterfly in 2:06.93 and the 100 butterfly in 57.01.

Hines won the 100 backstroke in 56.08 and took first in the 50 freestyle in 24.18 seconds and teamed with Kobelja, Yang and senior Mina Vucic to win the 200 medley relay in 1:45.51.

Spider freshman Natalya Ares won the 200 freestyle in 1:54.29. Junior Erin Brady won the 200 breaststroke in 2:23.65 and finished second to Kobelja in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.16.

The 10-time Atlantic 10 Champion Spiders return to action Nov. 15-17 at the George Mason Patriot Invitational in Fairfax, Va.
