RICHMOND, Va.- The Spider men's soccer team fell to  No. 12 Xavier, 5-1, on a windy Sunday afternoon at Robins Stadium.

The Musketeers scored early in the eighth minute of play and maintained the offensive momentum throughout the game earning four more goals. Houston Oldham connected with Oliver Murphy in the 86th minute of play to earn Richmond's lone goal.

Timmy Albright  and Houston Oldham led the Spider attack with three shots each. 

Goalie Chris Grover had seven saves during a full game between the posts.  Xavier's Justin Marshall had two saves in 74 minutes of play.

The Musketeers outshot the Spiders 25-11 and took 13 corners to Richmond's one.

The Spiders will be in action for Senior Night next Friday, Nov. 2 at home against cross-town rival VCU at 7:30 p.m.
