UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Saturday will be a busy day on Richmond's campus as the Spiders are set to host a football and men's basketball doubleheader. Football opens the day at Noon with the 121st annual Capital Cup against William and Mary at Robins Stadium with Men's Basketball to follow against Sacred Heart at 5 p.m. in the Robins Center.
With Saturday marking Spider Football's season-finale, the team will honor its 12 graduating seniors prior to the game. There will also be a Thunderstick giveaway for the first 3,000 fans to enter Robins Stadium.
Men's Basketball welcomes Sacred Heart to the Robins Center at 5 p.m. for its second contest of the Cancun Challenge. Fans will be offered free entry to the game by showing their Capital Cup football ticket. Those in attendance will also be treated to a halftime performance by Martial Arts World.
Tailgate lots in and around the Robins Center and Robins Stadium will remain open between the football and basketball games.
Tickets are available for both the football and men's basketball games by calling 1-877-SPIDER-1 or by visiting RichmondSpiders.com. Ticket windows will open at 8 a.m. on Saturday and remain open through halftime of the men's basketball game.
Parking lots open at 8 a.m. for the football game. Fans need not move their cars after the football game to attend the basketball game.
