- With Saturday's loss, the Spiders now trail in the all-time series with William & Mary by a narrow 61-55-5 margin.
- Richmond has won five of the last seven and eight of the last 14 in the series with the Tribe.
- Richmond's 8-7 lead in the first quarter was its first lead since a fourth-quarter lead over Maine in game seven of the season on Oct. 22.

Player Notes
- Senior Aaron Corp's 22 completions put him in first place on the Spiders' single-season completion list with 247. With 31 attempts on the afternoon, he also set the school record for single-season attempts with 388 - both previous records were set by Eric Ward in 2008 (230 and 359).
- Corp has thrown for 2,654 yards this season and 3,327 in his 16-game career at Richmond, which ranks ninth on the Spiders' all-time list. Corp came up 127 yards shy of the Spiders' single-season passing yards mark of 3,454 yards.
- The 10-catch, 84-yard effort by senior WR Tre Gray allowed him to extend his career records for yards (3,101), catches (243) and single-season season catches (95). In Saturday's game, he set the Spiders' single-season record for yards (1,187).
- Gray finished as just the third Spider in history to surpass 1,000 yards in a season.
- With his two touchdowns on the day, junior FB Kendall Gaskins now has 10 touchdowns this season and now ranks tied for sixth on the Spiders' all-time list with 21 career rushing touchdowns.
- Redshirt freshman Reggie Barnette's first-quarter interception returned for 28 yards was the first of his career.
- Sophomore Ben Edwards secured his sixth receiving TD of the season.
- Redshirt freshman Stephen Barnette recorded his second two-point conversion catch of the year.
- Junior Darius McMillan tallied a career-high 20 tackles, the most recorded by a Spider this season, and finished the year with double-digit tackles in 10 of the team's 11 games.
- McMillan's 133 tackles this season ranks eighth on the Spiders' single-season list.
- Sophomore Wayne Pettus and freshman Mylon Blueford recorded career-high tackles with 14 and 12 stops, respectively.
- Redshirt junior Derek Mayo finished the game with 10 tackles, including a TFL
- Freshman Remington Hinshaw's 35-yard field goal in the second quarter marked a new career long.
- Redshirt sophomore Jacob Pierce recorded his first-career blocked field goal in the third quarter.
