UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- The Richmond women's soccer team, coming off its best season in a decade, will welcome nine new players to a squad that returns 21 players and eight starters from the 2012 (13-5-3) campaign.
is a very interesting group, said head coach Peter Albright. "We have recruited
a collection of tough, talented athletes. They will have a chance to join and
be a part of an established, successful program, and compete for the
opportunity to contribute as first-year players. There is no question that we
have really strengthened ourselves in a number of important positions, and improved
ourselves athletically. Our goals and expectations for the fall are pretty
high. This class really fortifies our foundation."
