UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - What has already been a storied season for Richmond Swim & Dive continued on Wednesday when three Spiders were named to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference team. Junior Mina Vucic was selected to the squad for the second-consecutive year, while classmate Lauren Hines and sophomore Mali Kobelja earned their first all-academic honor.

Richmond was the lone league squad to have multiple student-athletes named to the academic all-conference squad, which was selected through a vote by the league's sports information directors. A full list of this year's honorees can be found below.

Hines (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley), a Sociology major, took gold in both the 100 and 200 back, turned in a third-place finish in the 50 free and was a member of the 200 and 400 medley relays that set new conference, school and facility records at this year's A-10 Championship. The 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier would then become the third All-American in program history with her 16th-place showing in the 100 back at this month's NCAA Championship. In addition to setting the school record in the 100 back prelims in Auburn, Hines would also post a new program mark in the 200 portion of the event at Nationals.

Following three A-10 Performer of the Week honors this season, Kobelja (Fort Wayne, Ind./R. Nelson Snider) collects all-academic accolades after racing to three individual wins at February's conference championship. The Biology/Pre-Med major reset her own 200 and 400 IM meet marks in addition to clocking a career-best finish in the 200 breast that now ranks second in the school annals. The Olympic Trials qualifier was a key member of the Spiders' four winning relays at the conference meet, including the record-setting 200 and 400 medley relay squads.

An Economics major, Vucic (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) earns her second-straight academic honor after touching in for seventh-place showings in the 50 and 100 free at the A-10 Championship. The junior sprinter also helped lead her 200 free relay squad to victory for the Spiders, who claimed their tenth conference title in 11 years in Buffalo a month ago. Vucic earned runner-up honors in both sprint free events in addition to helping key her 200 free relay squad to victory in Richmond's home-finale win over Rutgers in January.
