Richmond freshman Amy Cooke, a native of Northern Ireland, was sitting in the stands at a Richmond soccer doubleheader Friday night when her teammate Kerri McDonald, also from Northern Ireland, arrived with her parents, who had just landed in Richmond.
Cooke's mother Julie had not told Amy she was making the trip, but Cooke had thought a surprise was in the works. She expected her mother to show up at Robins Stadium with the McDonald's and was disappointed to see no sign of her.
