NEW YORK - Another day, another honor for the University of Richmond's Cooper Taylor. Taylor earned his third All-America accolade on Wednesday, as the senior defensive back was named a First-Team All-American by the Associated Press.
The All-American distinction is the third already for Taylor, as he was previously named to the first-team Sports Network squad and the Beyond College Sports second team. The Atlanta, Ga. native was also honored by The Touchdown Club of Richmond as the Division I National Defensive Back of the Year
Although he played just two seasons at Richmond, Taylor will graduate having made a tremendous impact on the program the past two years. A First-Team All-CAA honoree, Taylor totaled 78 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and four interceptions in 2012.
