Tennis Falls Short Against Charlotte

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The Spider tennis team was edged by conference rival Charlotte 4-3 on Saturday.

Charlotte started off the day sweeping all three doubles matches to take the first point.

The Spiders bounced back in singles with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 position. Ethan Dunbar bounced back from a first set loss to win the point 6-7, 6-2, 6-5. 

For the second straight match Jesse Feder came back from a first set loss to take the point. Feder won at the No. 2 position with a score of 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Paul Nahon won the Spider’s third point with a 7-6, 7-5 win at the No. 4 position.

Richmond is now 10-10 on the season and 3-5 in conference play.
