UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond has announced home game times for the upcoming 2013 Spider football season.
Richmond will play six games at Robins Stadium this season, with three 4 p.m. starts, two 6 p.m. kickoffs and one at 12 p.m.
The Spiders open their fourth season at Robins Stadium on August 31 against in-state rival VMI under the lights at 6 p.m. The game will mark the first time the Spiders have started a season in Richmond since 2005.
After non-conference road games at N.C. State and Gardner-Webb, the Spiders return home to host Liberty at 6 p.m. on September 21.
The following week, Richmond begins CAA conference play against Maine at Robins Stadium on Family Weekend, with kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m. Four weeks later, the Spiders will host the Towson Tigers on October 26 with kickoff scheduled for 12 p.m.
Homecoming Weekend on November 2 will see the Spiders host CAA-newcomer Albany at Robins Stadium at 4 p.m.
Following road games at Stony Brook and Delaware, Richmond will round out the regular season, hosting the “Oldest Rivalry in the South” against William & Mary, with kickoff slated for 4 p.m.
Spider fans will also enjoy great family fun at Robins Stadium this fall. Spider Vision and the Family Fun Zone will return with several new elements as well as old favorites to entertain the crowd. Scheduled giveaways include Spider necklaces, slap bracelets and much more. Great half-time entertainment includes area marching bands throughout the fall.
