UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond men’s tennis program has inked James Aronson to a National Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2014-15 season, as announced by head coach Ben Johnson.
"James has made significant gains in the past few years,” commented Johnson. “His national ranking has improved over 250 spots since the end of 2010. I know James loves the sport of tennis and that passion will allow him to continue to improve and contribute to this program."
Aronson is a Waccabuc, N.Y., native, who is in his senior season at John Jay High School, under the direction of Robert Labriola. Excelling in doubles play recently, Aronson was named the Boy’s 16 Regional Doubles Champion in Philadelphia, Pa., as well as the Boy’s 16 Regional Doubles Champion in West Hartford, Conn., this past summer.
The 6-4, right-hander is coming off his most recent tournament this month, as he was the Boy’s 18 Sectional Doubles Finalist in Queens, N.Y.
