Mooney Wins 2nd Annual Coaches' Cook-Off

RICHMOND, Va. – Chris Mooney won for the second-straight year at the Coaches’ Cook-Off benefitting Max’s Positive Vibe Café, held Thursday night at The Science Museum of Virginia.

Mooney and VCU head coach Shaka Smart took part in the 2nd Annual Event with all proceeds going to Max’s Positive Vibe Café.

The Positive Vibe Café, located in the Stratford Hills Shopping Center at 2825 Hathaway Road, employs people with disabilities and trains them to work in the food service industry. The Café was started by Garth Larcen to give his son Max an opportunity to develop the skills to work in the food industry.

For the second-straight year, Mooney teamed with Glenn Pruden, executive chef at the University of Richmond. Smart teamed with Buz Grossberg, of Buz and Ned’s Real Barbecue.
