UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The holiday season has arrived, and along with it, the spirit of giving.
The University of Richmond women’s tennis team has not forgotten the importance of giving and volunteering at this time of year. The team hosted a tennis clinic for the Richmond Redevelopment Housing Authority, a group of elementary-aged children.
The team hosted the group at the University of Richmond, and, despite the cold temperatures, held a successful clinic teaching the game of tennis.
The clinic was beneficial for both groups, as not only did it allow for the children to learn the game and provide an opportunity for them to grow through interacting with Richmond student-athletes, but it also allowed the athletes to take a leadership role and make a difference in the Richmond community.
