Sportsline Returns Monday At 5:30 With Buckingham, Sherod

Following a holiday hiatus, The Spider Sportsline with men's basketball coach Chris Mooney returns to Joe's Inn Bon Air Monday, Jan. 9 from 5:30-6:30pm.  Freshmen and Richmond natives De'Monte Buckingham and Nick Sherod are the scheduled player guests.

Fans, alums and corporate partners are encouraged to attend and enjoy Joe's Inn food and drink menu and specials. The popular radio show can be heard on ESPN 950AM, SPORTSFM 100.5 and RichmondSpiders.com. It is also available on mobile devices and by dialing the AudioNow Call to Listen line at 712-770-9500. 

Buckingham, a former Henrico High School standout, has scored in double figures in six straight games, including a career-high 22 points against Fordham, followed by 16 points (7-7 field goals),  along with four assists, three steals and two blocks in Sunday's victory at George Washington. Those performances earned Buckingham his first Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week award.

Sherrod, who starred at nearby St. Christopher's, added seven points and three rebounds at GW.  He has been in double figures four times this season.

Joe's Inn Bon Air is located at 2616 Buford Road in the Bon Air Shopping Center at the corner of Buford Road and Forest Hill Avenue, just a short distance from campus. Plenty of free parking is available.

Spider Club members can register at Joe's Inn Bon Air during the program by showing their Spider Club membership card to win a Spider Fan Pack of great prizes at the end of the season.  Chances of winning increase by attending and registering each week.

Patrons at the show can enjoy food and drink from Joe's Inn menu, and talk Spider and college basketball. Mondays are already special at Joe's Inn Bon Air as kids age 12 and under eat free with a paid adult entree, and now they will be able to meet Coach Mooney and guests while enjoying dinner during the show. Joe's Inn Bon AIr will offer additional food and drink specials during the show.

Joe's Inn Bon Air is open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Monday through Saturday 9am to 10pm, and Sunday 9am to 10pm.  A Sunday breakfast  buffet is offered
9am to 2pm.

The Spider Sportsline is held at Joe's Inn Bon Air Mondays 5:30-6:30pm during the college basketball season and is a production of the Spider IMG Sports Network.
