UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Junior Amanda Corbosiero is raising the bar every time she steps on the track for the University of Richmond track & field program.
Corbosiero, who was a part of the Distance Medley Relay that won gold at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships last weekend, is headed for a bigger stage this weekend after earning a spot at the USA Track & Field National Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The Roseland, N.J. native qualified in the 1000m after clocking a time of 2:44.52 at the New York City Armory Track Invitational earlier this month.
Her time currently ranks as the sixth-best collegiate time in the entire country.
She is currently scheduled to step on the track with at least 16 professional runners at the event.
The first round of the 1000m is scheduled to go off at 7:16 p.m. on Saturday, March 4.
