Cain, Preschutti Earn A-10 All-Academic Team Recognition

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The University of Richmond track and field team continues to roll in the accolades from the indoor season as both Haley Preschutti and Shelby Cain have earned Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team recognition, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Preschutti, a junior from Collegeville, Pa. was part of the A-10 Champion Distance Medley Relay team and won gold at the A-10 Championships in the 1000M run, posting a time of 2:55.57. Preschutti has posted a phenomenal, 3.94 GPA during her collegiate career while majoring in business administration.

Cain, a junior form Haddonfield, N.J. finished second in the 5000M run and fifth in the mile at the A-10 Championships. She also posted a third place finish in the 5000M run at the prestigious Armory Invitational. Cain has had the best spring season of her career to this point while gathering a 3.88 GPA during her collegiate career. She majors in biochemistry and molecular biology with a minor in mathematics.
