UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – A receiving core that returns eight of its top nine options just got a little deeper as Jeremiah Brown, a former member of the Wake Forest football program, signed his national letter of intent to join the Richmond Spiders next season.
Brown, a native of High Point, N.C., redshirted last season with the Demon Deacons after an outstanding high school career at Southwest Guilford High School.
Speed and playmaking ability are Brown’s biggest attributes as he was an all-conference and all-state performer in track to go along with his accolades on the gridiron.
Brown was ranked among the top-50 players in the state of North Carolina by ESPN and Rivals, twice earning All-Area and All-Piedmont Triad 4-A team as a wide receiver.
During his high school career, he caught 82 catches for over 1,400 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also added over 40 kickoff returns for nearly 700 yards. He helped the Cowboys to the first round of the state 4A playoffs during his senior season.
On the track, he holds the Southwest Guilford school record in the 300m (35.1) and 400m (48.7).
