In the coming weeks, the University of Richmond women’s soccer team will highlight members of the 2017 signing class through a “Getting to Know” segment on

Name: Katie Tritt
Position: Forward
Hometown: Fredericks, Va.
High School: Riverbend

Coach Peter Albright on Tritt: Katie is a very good athlete and competitor. Strong and fast, she loves the competitive moments and physical play that characterizes many of our A-10 battles. She is very coachable and brings a fearless recklessness to the attack. I think that Katie will has the capacity to make some noise in the first group as a first year player.”

At what age did you begin playing soccer: 4 years old

Why do you love playing soccer?: I forget about everything when I play. I could have a bad day, and go play soccer and forget about everything. It is such an outlet and escape.

Why Richmond?: I decided to come to Richmond to join a successful soccer program and great business school.

What are you most excited about about when thinking of joining the Spider Family?: I am most excited about traveling for away games!

If you were granted one wish, what you want it to be?: To always be HAPPY! 

If you could have dinner with anyone celebrity, who and why?: Beyonce – She’s GREAT  

What is your dream job?: Professional soccer player

Where do you like sitting on the bus for road trips?: The BACK!

What is you least favorite household chore?: Cleaning the blinds
