NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – For the second straight week and third time this spring, the University of Richmond men’s tennis program took home the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor.

This time, senior Alexandre Felisa earned the nod after a perfect 2-0 week in singles and 1-0 in doubles to help the Spiders extend their winning streak to 21 matches in a row and clinch the top seed in the Atlantic 10 Tournament, which will be played later this month.

Felisa has now won six straight singles matches, including the clinching point in Richmond’s 4-3 road victory at reigning A-10 champion George Washington this past Saturday. On the year, he is 15-7 in singles action.

In doubles, Felisa has teamed with classmate Jacob Dunbar for a 21-3 mark this year, including a 13-1 ledger this spring.

Richmond wraps up their home schedule this afternoon when they take on the Dukes of JMU. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
