LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of Richmond women's golf team began play at the NCAA Regionals on Monday morning and after a slow start, finished strong, anchored by an outstanding showing from Isabella Rusher.

Rusher floated around the top 10 in the individual standings most of the round thanks in large part to five birdies. She finished up at +4, 76 to lead the team and in a tie for 36th overall. Only four strokes separate her from a spot in the top 10. The top two individuals outside of the six advancing teams will move on to the next round of the NCAA Championship.

As a group the Spiders finished at +36, 324 on the ever-challenging Rawls Course. Marie Donnici was steady most of the round out of the No. 2 spot, carding a +9, 81. Sophie DiPetrillo had one of the more resilient rounds on the course. She was +10 through seven holes and rallied to an even score the rest of the way to finish at +10, 82. Annie Collom and Elsa Diaz carded scores of 85 and 86, respectively.

The team will get started on the 10th tee tomorrow with the exact same tee times as they had this morning.
