Women's Golf Wraps Up Round Two of NCAA Regionals

LUBBOCK, Texas – The second round of the 2017 NCAA Women's Golf Regionals at The Rawls Course became a day of improvement for the University of Richmond as the team dropped seven strokes off their first round score to card a 317. Annie Collom, Elsa Diaz and Sophie DiPetrillo all bested their round one scores as well.

Diaz showed the greatest improvement after carding a +14, 86 on Monday. She responded with a +6, 78 giving her a two-day total of 164 and moving her into 88th overall. Collom dropped five strokes off her Monday score to card a +8, 80 and DiPetrillo improved by one stroke to fire a +9, 81. Marie Donnici was forced to withdraw with an injury after 10 holes but could still play on Wednesday.

Isabella Rusher continued her steady play, tossing in a +6, 78 to move into a tie for 56th overall. She was one of just 12 players to play the Par three's at even par. Only six individuals were better.

On Wednesday, for the third consecutive day, the Spiders will play opposite individuals from Georgetown and Sacred Heart. Richmond will be trying to chase down the familiar Hoyas to move up the team leaderboard.

Inclement weather overnight has pushed the Wednesday tee times back an hour – 10th Tee:
10:50 CST – Marie Donnici
11:00 CST – Annie Collom
11:10 CST – Elsa Diaz
11:20 CST – Sophie DiPetrillo
11:30 CST – Isabella Rusher
