LEXINGTON, Ky. - Amanda Corbosiero and Marisa Ruskan took part in the 1500m race at the NCAA Prelims on Thursday afternoon. The pair ran side-by-side in section two of four but despite stellar performances were unable to advance to Saturday's quarterfinals.

Cobosiero cruised to a 10th-place finish in the section with a time of 4:32.41 while Ruskan followed closely behind in 12th with a time of 4:44.52. The track battled difficult weather conditions all day but the two Spiders persevered to compete at the highest level. Corbosiero made her second-straight appearance at the prelims while Ruskan made her first.

Both Spiders will be back to guide the Richmond program again next season. Both individuals not only performed well in the 1500m all season but also were part of the Atlantic 10 Champion 4x800m Relay team.
