Richmondís Brandon Jordi Earns Weekly CAA Honor

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond Spiders K Brandon Jordi was named the CAA Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday, the conference office announced.

Jordi finished with another career day to help lead Richmond to a 27-10 victory on Homecoming over Albany.  The sophomore, who joined the Spiders after playing with the soccer program as a freshman, converted four of five field goal attempts to both match a career-best and tie a school single-game high. Jordi’s 48-yarder at the close of the first half also equaled a career long.

On the season, Jordi has hit on 15-of-19 field goals on the season – the most in the CAA.  Jordi also ranks second in the conference in field goal percentage (78.9) and second in the league among kicker in scoring per game (6.7).  

Jordi’s 15 field goals rank ties him for fourth on Richmond’s single-season list and tied for ninth on the school’s career field goal list.
