MIDLOTHIAN, Va. - The University of Richmond Spiders women's golf team carded a final team round of 307 (+19) to finish the Spider Spring Invitational in third place with a three-round total of 927 (+63). St. John's took home the team title in the 14-team field with a 54-hole score of 911 (+47), while Harin Lee of St. John's earned medalist honors with her score of 218 (+2).
After carding back-to-back rounds of 77 (+5) on Monday, sophomore Danielle Pinder shot a final round 75 (+3) to move up the leaderboard and finish the tournament in a tie for fifth with a score of 229 (+13). The top-20 finish is the second-straight for Pinder and the T5 finish is the best of her young Spider career.
Continuing her strong play of late, sophomore Lauren Conder tallied her third top-20 finish of the season, placing in a tie for 14th with a score of 233 (+17). Earning her first top-20 of the season was junior Courtney Rousse, who tied for 17th with a 54-hole score of 234 (+18).
Junior Tracy Martin just missed out on a top-20 finish, coming in 22nd overall with a three-round total of 235 (+19). Classmate Caroline Lovette placed 26th in the tournament with a score of 237 (+21).
The Richmond Spiders women's golf team will be back on the course on April 2-3 when they participate in The Hoya, hosted by Georgetown University.
