Hi Spider Fans!

Ever since I wrote about how rainy it had been, the weather switched to HOT! It has been an awesome week. The practices have been intense, but I am learning from the coaches, and from players. It's awesome to be playing with a high caliber set of players and being taught their style of play. I really feel like part of the team on and off of the field and I can't say enough about the group of people here.

At the beginning of every practice we stand in a circle with our arms around each other's shoulders while Coach Swanson addresses us about the ensuing practice. Today, standing in the circle looking around at my teammates and the US crest on each uniform I almost had to pinch myself. Even with this being my second camp and it being almost halfway over I still can't believe I am here. I am so blessed to be in this position. Every day before practice, I realize I'm not only representing this team and our country but also all of my Spiders back home. And I am honored to be in this position.

Tonight we get to go to a restaurant for a team dinner. It will be a nice change of scenery from our hotel. We will begin to prepare for our first match on Wednesday against a men's team. It has been a good first week, and I'm looking forward to whatever else is in store for us!
