Charlotte Brackett, Mali Kobelja and Lauren Hines each won their preliminary swims Friday morning, and head to tonight's finals as No. 1-seeds as the 2011 A-10 Swimming & Diving Championship resumed in Buffalo.

Hines won the 100 back prelim, breaking the school and A-10 marks with her time of 53.51. Nicole LePere and Jill Smaniotto also qualified for tonight's championship final.

An impressive performance Friday morning by the Spiders' 200 freestylers will give Richmond a chance to bulk up on crucial points tonight. Seven Spiders will swim for points, including four in the championship finals.

Brackett leads the way with her time of 1:49.21 and will swim the championship finals with Jessie Krebs, Alexi Kuska and Michelle Johnson. Chrissy Brodt, Liz Cohan and Natalie Lewis earned spots in the consolation.

Mali Kobelja was first in the 100 breast (1:03.39).

The Day Three night session begins at 6:30 p.m.
