The Women's Tennis team fell to No. 48 Maryland on Thursday, 5-2.

Maryland won over the doubles point to start the rally.

In singles play, freshman Nil Horoz earned the first point for the Spiders with a pair of 6-1 decisions over Eleonore Paillaud. Sophomore Elizabeth Sims defeated Jordan Hansbrough, 6-2, 6-2 in order to advance her singles record to 7-0.

The Spiders return to action at home for their first Atlantic 10 match of the season against St. Joseph's.
