The Spiders advance their overall record to 8-2 with a 4-3 victory over Georgetown on Wednesday.

After dropping the first doubles match, Melissa Kandinata and Elizabeth Sims defeated Tina Tehrani and Victoria Sekely, 9-7. Joanna Matuszczyk and Nil Horoz secured the doubles point with a 9-8(5) victory over Madeline Jaeger and Sophie Panarese.

Senior Joanna Matuszczyk earned the Spider's their first singles point in the No. 1 position by defeating Lauren Greco, 7-5, 6-2. Richmond continued the rally by securing the next two points as freshman Nil Horoz earned a 7-5, 6-4 victory and sophomore Elizabeth Sims downed Madeline Jaeger 7-6(5), 6-2.

The Spiders will continue play on Saturday, March 24 against Atlantic 10 opponent, Temple.
