Senior Danielle Bell ended her career as a Spider with 801 points and seventh all-time in three-pointers made (133). Bell recorded a career-high five assists to go with eight points.
Nikita Thomas ended her career as a Spiders with 531 career boards. Thomas scored a season-high 13 points vs. Appalachian State in Jan.
Rachael Bilney led Spider scoring with 11 points, and was a team-best 3-for-6 from long range. Bilney ended her sophomore year fourth on the team in three pointers (35).
Brittani Shells followed Bilney with 10 points. Shells set a single season record for steals with 84. Shells ended the 2009-10 season as the A-10 leading scorer at 16.9 ppg. Shells was selected to the A-10 All conference first team and defensive team for the second consecutive year. Shells is sixth on the Spiders' all-time scoring list with 1,467 points.
Abby Oliver was selected as the A-10 Sixth Player of the Year after putting up strong numbers as Richmond's second-leading scorer at 10.3 ppg. Oliver moved into a starting role midway through the season after notching double-figure performances. Oliver scored double-figures in 10 of the Spiders' last 12 games.
Richmond recorded its second consecutive 20-win season and postseason berth. The Spiders enjoyed a season-long six game win streak dating from Dec. 30th-Jan. 19th.
The Spiders went 2-0 against the ACC with wins over Clemson and Wake Forest.
Richmond completed the home-and-home sweep of GW for the second straight year.
The Spiders averaged 10.7 steals per game which ranked first in the A-10 and 22nd in the country.
