Melissa joined the sports medicine staff in August 2007. She is primarily responsible for medical care of field hockey and women's lacrosse.

Melissa received her B.S. in Sports Medicine - Athletic Training from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI in 2005. While at Eastern Michigan, Melissa was an intern at Auburn University in which she worked with the 2005 Track & Field team. She went on to earn a Master's of Art degree in Higher Education Administration with an emphasis in Athletics from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO in 2007. While at Southeast Missouri State University, Melissa worked with women's soccer and baseball.

Melissa is certified with the National Athletic Trainers' Association. A native of Chelsea, MI., Adams resides in Richmond.
